Do I need a GP referral for a 4D/5D baby scan?

No – you can book directly with us. However, this doesn’t replace medical advice. We recommend speaking to your GP, midwife, or another healthcare professional if you have any health concerns.

Can my GP or healthcare professional refer me for a 4D/5D scan?

Yes, they can. They can use our online booking system or send us your referral form via our Contact Us page. We’ll then get in touch to arrange your appointment.

Are there any risks involved?

No – there are no known risks with 4D/5D ultrasound scans. However, in some cases, the results may be affected by factors such as a high BMI or other physical conditions.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes – you’re welcome to bring up to five guests. Please note: Guest numbers may be different for other types of scans such as fertility, pregnancy, Health, Muscles & Joints, or vascular scans.

Is the scan painful?

No – the scan is completely painless. You’ll only feel the ultrasound probe moving gently on your skin.

What happens if the main purpose of my scan can’t be completed on the day?

We’ll offer a free rescan. Sometimes, due to the baby’s position or factors like excess bowel gas, we may not get a clear image. If we can’t complete the main purpose of your scan, we’ll rebook you at no extra cost

When will I receive my results?

You’ll receive a written report and any relevant images straight after your scan.
