A pregnancy scan is a non-invasive diagnostic test that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of your unborn baby. These scans help track your baby’s development, confirm pregnancy milestones, and detect potential concerns. At our Ashford and Canterbury clinics, you can choose from a comprehensive range of private pregnancy scans:

Yes, you can upgrade your pre-booked appointment to a 4D/5D baby scan at any time before your original scan is completed.
Please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate you, but please note that you may have to wait, as our clinics are fully booked and any delays could significantly affect the appointments scheduled after yours.
Although we do our best to complete the scan on the same day, in some cases this may not be possible. This can happen if the baby is in a difficult position or due to factors such as excessive bowel gas, which can affect the clarity of the ultrasound image—especially in pregnancy-related scans. If this occurs, we will offer you a free rescan to ensure the main purpose of the scan is fulfilled. You can find details about the main purpose of your scan on the booking page for the scan you have selected or already booked.
You will receive a full refund for your scan booking if you cancel or reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice. However, for same-day appointments, this notice period is reduced to 24 hours. Please review our cancellation and rescheduling policies in the Terms & Conditions, which are available on our website.
Yes, you can book our services. However, please note that these scans are not a substitute for medical advice. We strongly recommend that any guests experiencing symptoms that may require urgent medical attention contact their GP or midwife immediately, or visit the nearest A&E as soon as possible, as these situations could be a medical emergency.
A comprehensive written report, along with relevant images, will be provided to you once your scan is completed.
If any abnormalities or pathologies are detected during the scan, our sonographer will provide advice in your report and inform your GP, midwife, or any other healthcare professional who referred you to Elite Community Ultrasound.
You will receive a written report along with relevant images. If our experienced sonographer identifies any concerns, they will discuss it with you, and if you'd like, we can send the report to your registered GP or midwife.

However, underlying issues, such as inflammation in the pelvic cavity, may cause some discomfort. Additionally, a transvaginal (internal) scan may cause slight discomfort due to the positioning of the probe.
